# Raise Hands
> Users raise their hand to signal the presenter, and presenters can lower individual hands or all hands at once.
Any user can raise their hand to signal the presenter — for example, to ask a question or request to speak. Presenters can lower a single hand or lower all hands at once.
To raise your hand, select the hand icon.
A hand emoji appears on your user icon.
A prompt also appears in the top-right corner confirming that your hand is raised.
When you lower your hand, the emoji disappears from your user icon and another prompt confirms the change.
## Lower another user's hand
As a presenter, select a user's name in the user list to lower that one hand, or select **Lower all hands** to lower every raised hand at once.
