# Respond to polls and quizzes
> When a presenter starts a poll or quiz, any user can respond, and the presenter can publish anonymized results to the slide.
When a presenter starts a poll or quiz during the session, any user can respond. The presenter sees incoming responses and can publish the anonymized results to the slide.
## Respond to a poll
When a poll is started, response options appear on your screen.
Depending on your device and screen layout (portrait or landscape), the options may appear in the **bottom-right** of the BigBlueButton interface.
Select your answer to lock it in. The available options vary based on the presenter's question.
## Respond to a quiz
A quiz prompt appears the same way as a poll, in the lower-right corner.
Select your answer to submit it.
## See published results
Only the presenter sees incoming responses. Once the presenter publishes the anonymized results, they appear on the presentation slide and the response prompt disappears for all users.
