# Language strings

> Troubleshoot or update BigBlueButton language strings in Moodle using the standard language pack and language customization workflows.

If your site is missing translated BigBlueButton strings or uses outdated wording, the fix usually follows Moodle’s normal localization workflow.

## Start here

* for standard language packs, go to [Language customization](/integrations/moodle/admins/language-customization)
* for custom wording, use Moodle’s language customization tools

## Typical problems

* the language pack has not been updated
* the site installed new BigBlueButton strings after the language pack was last refreshed
* local customizations are overriding expected wording
