# Free Tier

A no-cost hosted BigBlueButton service is available for edX and Open edX courses, provided by Blindside Networks. To use it, select "Free" from the "Select a plan" dropdown in the Live app configuration and click Save — no further setup is required.

The free tier has these limits:

* sessions run up to 60 minutes
* up to 25 concurrent users per session
* recordings expire after 7 days and cannot be downloaded
* student webcams are visible only to the moderator.

[BigBlueButton](https://bigbluebutton.com/#features) is a full-featured virtual classroom designed for online learning.  You have many options for upgrading BigBlueButton.
