BigBlueButton Enhanced costs are based on the maximum number of concurrent sessions (or, in some K12 cases, concurrent users) running at any one time. A concurrent session is any BigBlueButton session with two or more users that runs for more than 15 minutes.
In practice, you have multiple sessions throughout the day. The more that run at the same time, the more capacity we provision — so we charge based on concurrency.
A concurrent session is not tied to a specific user. There is no second login layer. Instructors and students join a BigBlueButton session by selecting a link in the LMS, and the session opens in their browser.

Can I track my concurrent sessions?
Yes. We can provide a URL that displays a graph of your peak concurrent sessions.
What happens if I exceed the number of concurrent sessions?
BigBlueButton continues to work — there is no hard-coded limit on concurrent sessions. However, if your usage is significantly above the number of purchased concurrent sessions, we will reach out to discuss adding capacity.
