Draft — this page is draft documentation for BigBlueButton 4.0. The details described here may change before release.
When your session’s guest policy is set to ask the moderator, arrivals wait in the lobby. BigBlueButton 4.0 consolidates that review into a single pop-up, so a class arriving all at once does not mean thirty separate decisions.
Review the lobby
Everyone waiting appears in the list in the order they arrived. From there you can:
- Accept one person, and they join the session immediately.
- Accept all — admit everyone currently waiting.
- Deny one person, or deny everyone.
- Send a message to someone who is waiting — useful when you need to ask who they are before letting them in.
Stop being asked
The pop-up also offers a remember allow all option. Choose it and BigBlueButton stops asking about arrivals for the rest of the session — they join directly.
You can get the same result by changing the guest policy itself to Always accept.
Always deny turns arrivals away. Someone who is denied needs a new invitation to join.
For the policies themselves, see How to configure guest policy.
